BIBLE REFERENCES: 1Chron 29:11

MESSAGE:

God has the power to make all things available to man and he has provided all. Imagine man created a car and God has deposited the crude oil in the ground to power the car. Power and majesty belong to God. Power is the ability to do. The power of faith means faith has the capacity to make things happen. Faith is the ability to see things not real as though they are. Faith is a firm persuasion, a belief with strong conviction – Rm 8:38-39. We can sit on a chair without any fear of it giving way but we find it difficult to rest on the Lord. How did you know that the chair can carry your weight? God uses people who are not afraid to trust him completely. Those who have faith in God have enormous power for a greater purpose. Matt 13:58. Jesus could not do much in his home town because of their lack of faith. When faith is present, God’s power flow unlimited and causes miracles to happen. There is a correlation between faith, power and belief.

Our faith in God gives us strength when our strength is depleted. Faith in God gives us hope in the darkness. Many a time, what we call challenges are just temporary nights. God gives us hope in our trying times. A lifestyle of faith shifts our lives to God desires. |Faith needs to be a lifestyle before we can conquer. Make faith a lifestyle and an occasional – Rm 4: 18-20. Abraham was old and Sarah has passed menopause. He hoped against hope and believed that he will become a father of many nations as he was promised by God.

Abraham believed against hope because he believed the promise that was said. After all, it was a promise. God cannot be a man that should lie and he brought his word to pass. It is not of our works to receive the promise of God but his grace and faithfulness. The promises of God do not fail though man fails. Promises are a result of grace and not of works. In Mark 4:40, there was a great storm amid the sea as the disciples journeyed with Jesus in a boat. Jesus came into the scene and there was a great calm. The disciples may have been wondering why Jesus would ask them to cross the sea knowing there will be a storm. I believe Jesus was not unaware of the storm but wanted to see the faith of the disciples.

Never panic in a trying situation but let God be because panic builds doubts and counters your faith. Even if the worst happens, do you think the disciples would have been drowned? Remember Jonah when he was thrown into the sea. God provided a furnished place for him in the belly of the fish. Faith in God is a source of energy – Heb 11: 39-40. In summary, the power that comes through faith comes when you have absolute trust in God.

God Bless You!
