- God’s word makes us wise in handling the affairs of life Ps 19:7-8. The word of God makes us see spiritually. The word of God enlightens and makes wise. 2Tim 3:15. The more of God’s word we have, the brighter and wiser we become. The word of God symbolizes the wisdom of God Luke 11:49. Wisdom is needed in life to handle authority and to live in this life. When you are wise and your results show this, people begin to celebrate you.
- The word of God illuminates believers to conquer the powers of darkness. The word of God illuminates us so we can conquer the principalities of this world Jn 1:1-5. When we are lighted, we overcome cheaply the powers of darkness.
- The word of God guides our steps in life – Ps 32: 8. The word of God is instructive. We cannot afford to walk blindly in life without seeking guidance from the word of God – Ps 119:105. We are bound to make costly mistakes when we are not guided by the word of God. The popular road is not always the right road – let God direct your path. You are entitled to hear the voice of God because as sheep, we hear the voice of the Shepherd. If you follow the multitude without seeking direction from the Lord, you will suffer what they suffer.
- The word of God is creative – Pro 3:19, Gen 1:1-3. The creation that we see today came into existence by the spoken word of God. …And God said let there be, and there was. How does the creative power of the word of God affect your life? Expect the word to create and recreate in your life.
- The word of God heals and delivers – Pro 4:22, Ps 107:20, Matt 8:16-17. Jesus casted out demons by His word and his word is still alive and effective today. He sent forth His word and it healed their diseases and delivered them from their destruction. The word of God is life to them that find it. You need to engage in active search.
