Text: Psalm 92:1-2
What you do not understand, you cannot utilize effectively. If you understand the secrets of the words of God, you will make the most of it. That is why we must continuously pray that God will open our eyes of understanding. If our eyes are not opened, we won’t understand what God’s word is saying and when we do not understand, we cannot behold the wondrous thing out of His word.
If our eyes are open, we will see miracles Jer 1:3,12. There is always a depth of God we can see and we cannot search the depth of God. Understanding is vital in determining our walk with God. He that walks away from understanding will stand in the congregation of the dead – Pro 21:16. Understanding fosters meaningful impact with God – Hos 4:6. Many are devastated because of lack of understanding. Wisdom is vital and understanding is key – Pro 4:7. God told Abraham, as far as your eyes can see…Gen 13:14. The question is what do you see? I pray that our eyes will be opened to see what God has in stock for us in Jesus name.
Any believer that lacks understanding will suffer what the unbeliever suffers. When we have understanding, fear will be eliminated. Fear shows a lack of understanding. Understanding comes principally from the word of God.
It is the grace of God that differentiates us from those on the street homeless. They have blood flowing in their veins too just as we do. That you are not in their state is the grace of God. If there is no life, you won’t be talking about Christmas or anything of such. We must see every opportunity to serve in His kingdom as a privilege. You cannot hold God to ransom because He is the Almighty God. If you fail to discharge that duty, God has better persons than you and that can discharge the same service more excellently.
Miracle is not something that you can explain. It is so beautiful when you experience something that you cannot explain. That is a miracle. I pray that you will experience something you cannot explain before the end of the year in Jesus name.
Deliberate thanksgiving comes from the heart. We are indebted to give thanks to God because God owes us nothing. Our responses as humans are inconsequential to God.
Wonders of Thanksgiving
- Thanksgiving is a covenant story changer for every believer – Abraham staggered not at the promises of God, but was strong in faith giving glory to God – Romans 4: 20, Hab 3:17 – Although the fig trees will not blossom … Do not murmur as did the Israelites in the wilderness and they were destroyed. Please, beware of murmuring this season. The Bible admonishes us that in all things, we should give thanks – 1Thess 5:18.
- Do not let the issues of your life lead you to depression – Turn around every issue into thanksgiving in truth and indeed. The Psalmist says that He crowneth the year with goodness…Ps 65: 11. Learn to thank God for anything and everything.
- The sacrifice of thanksgiving secures the tomorrow of every believer – Ps 126:5. The things that are of value are more than material possessions. The things we value are actually not of value. A car or a house is worthless to a dead man. That is why we should always give God thanks. Jer 17:10 says God searches the heart. It is important that we thank God whole-hearthedly and it must be deliberate and total.
- Do not be offended in God – To be offended in God is to block our access to breakthroughs in life – Ps 121:1 tells us that our help comes from God. So, where will the help come from when we feel offended in God? Matt 11:6 – John the Baptist was offended in Jesus and you know how he ended. To have a touch with the supernatural, you must not be a realist because a realist thinks with the head and acts not by faith. Run away from such people.
God bless you!
