Text: Ephesian 3:20

Understanding is seeing what God is saying. We have to first understand what God is saying before we can apply ourselves to it. God can do more than we imagine but there are couples of things that we must engage in for we to exceed expectations. We must understand the place of faith in exceeding expectations. Faith is God’s tool in our hands with which we get results – Hab 2:4 and our living is a function of our faith. Faith is one of the most vital tools to cause changes in life – faith has to have some substance that proves the faith. There is living, active and also dead faith. Our faith must be active and alive. The journey of faith begins from the heart – Jer 29:13. God is looking for the heart of a man and not the words of a man. You need a right heart for your faith to produce just as a fertile soil is needed for the seed to grow.

For our faith to be productive, the state of our heart is vital. Our hearts must be engaged in our search for God – Jer 30:21. God will only listen to a man whose heart is right with Him. Isa 29 13 – it is possible to draw close to God with the mouth and not the heart. God is looking for men who will search for Him with their heart. 2Chron 16:9 – if your heart is not right, your words will not produce results. If your soil is good (heart), you will produce good seeds Act 24:13, Mark 9:23, 11:23.

God measures our faith to determine the delivery of our desires – Mark 9:23. We cannot afford to fail in the area of faith. Where is your faith and how is your heart?

Characteristics of faith seated heart

  • Faith from the heart is restful – if you are panicking, check again for faith from the heart is at peace – Heb 4:11. When you are at rest, then faith is at work – Mark 4:38. Whenever there is faith, you will be at peace. You do not panic when you are exercising faith, else, that is not faith. Rest on the word of God for it is the most sure prophecy – 1Pet 4:3. 2Chron 2: 38
  • It challenges oppositions – Heart seated faith challenges every negative report.
  • It makes declarations – your faith must always be speaking. Heart seated faith always speaks. A heart seated faith must not be afraid to speak. You must say it with all confidence.
  • Keeps pressing and persisting until the result comes

How to build a heart seated faith

  • Keep hearing the word of God until a picture is built – man never doubts what he sees. He may doubt what he hears but not what he sees. Let your faith grow from hope to trust. But you can never grow from hope to trust if you do not change your hope to trust. You must keep hearing the word not just on Sundays but consistently on a daily basis. Abraham never staggered in faith because he had a picture of where he was going.
  • Keep thinking on the WordA man is principally what he thinks – 1Tim 4:3. When you think about the word consistently, there will be no room for evil thoughts. Every evil act is a product of evil thought. Think of the word this year more than ever before.
  • Never argue with the truth – Keep praising God for the truth.

God bless you.
