1 Chron 16: 26-27

Encounters are primarily by holding unto the word of the Lord – Isa 9:8. That is why we must be attentive when the word of God goes forth.

The devil always tries to steal our joy hence we must consciously guide our joy this month. Satan does not want you to have heaven on earth. We have to be weary of the devices of the enemy. Do not fight your spouse but confront the enemy which is the devil. Lack of joy comes with severe costsYou shall enjoy the joy of the Lord in Jesus name. Happiness is tied to what happens but joy is tied to what you see with the eyes of the faith.

In 1 Chron 16: 26-27, the Bible says the gods of the people are idols. Anything that takes the place of God in a man’s life is an idol. Glory, honour and joy are in the place of God. Heaven does not necessarily mean a geographical location. Heaven is where God dwells. Your life, home, or career can be a heaven. Joy comes from the Lord – Neh 8:10. When you have joy, you have strength and when you have strength, you have the ability to accomplish things. Those that go through depression are affected not only mentally but also physically. Even though depression is a thing of the mind, it can affect the physical body too.

When we are in His presence, we enjoy joy because joy is in his presence.  Ps 16:11b. Unlike happiness that depends on the physical happenings, joy is a reaction to what is written in the word of God. Joy is a fruit of the spirit – Gal 5:23, Ex 23:26 – when you remember that the word of God says none shall be barren in the land, you grab hold of the word and you are joyful knowing that nothing in your life shall be barren.

How Do I Partake of the Joy of the Lord?

  1. Become a soul winner – Lu 15:7a. You cannot be an object of shamel on earth when you make heaven to rejoice. Do you want to enjoy the joy that comes with strength for unimaginable tasks, then become a soul winner and make heaven rejoice.

What are the Dangers of the Lack of Joy?

  1. When we lack joy, we will be robbed of the rewards of our stewardship in Christ –  when the supernatural is not present in the life of a believer, frustration is inevitable! This is caused by our lack of understanding Deut 28: 47-48 – the issue here is not the service but absence of joy in the service. That is the aim of the devil – to corrupt our service so as to lose our reward for the service. When your stewardship is corrupted, you have lost your reward. When your joy is lost, everything is lost.
  2. We lose our access to divine intervention – Hab 3:17-19
  3. When our joy is lost, we lose access to revelation which is the trigger for supernatural breakthrough – Isa 9:8. Every man that got a breakthrough first sought for revelation -Isa 12: 3.

God bless you!
