It is easy for us to praise God when all is well what about in the midst of challenges?
What is Sacrifice?
It is anything that cost you something – 2Samuel 24;24,
Anytime you offer Sacrificial praise to God you are making a Covenant with Him – Psalm 50;5-15.God is interested in our praise!
What is the cost of your Praise?
Do you remember to praise when things are not rosy? Anytime we offer sacrificial praise unto God, we are making a covenant with Him. Whenever we offer a sacrifice of praise at trying times, then God is committed to redeem us.
What is Praise?
Praise is celebrating God for who He is. Who God is is based on our personal experience, It is not celebrating Him for what he has done. That is thanksgiving. The more we are close to God, the more we see more of Him. We celebrate the faithfulness and integrity of God in praise. In praise, we celebrate the consistency of the word of God. Can you imagine how the world would have been without his word to direct and comfort us?
Praise is an expression of faith in God’s ability to perform. It is a weapon of war – 2 Chron 20:20-24. You can tap the benefits of praise with knowing who God is. . There is no irreversible situation with God. In prayers, angels come with answers but in praise, God steps in Himself to inhabit the praise – Ps 22:3. There is no irreversible case with God, when God steps in everything changes.
The enemy wants you to keep talking about your challenges, you need to praise God for who he is , you have to take your face off the challenge and maintain your focus on God.
Benefits Of Praise
- The Presence of God – When God steps into a situation, every door opens. He does not just open doors but break doors. You determine the atmosphere wherever you are. Apply pressure in your spirit man and you will see the gates lifted before you – Ps 24:7-10
- God takes over our battles – Acts 16: 25-26. Whenever we praise God, God takes over the battles
- Vengeance answers for us – Ps 149: 6 -7
- Praise takes delivery of what prayer has requested, praise is the highest form of praise.
- It is catalyst for Harvest
- It provokes increase and multiplication – Jer 30:19
How do I praise God through Storms?
- Be joyful – Joel 1.10-12 Job 14.14. There was a harvest expected but because there was no joy, it withered away. Avoid complaints, just rejoice!
- Our hearts must be right with God
- Testimonies, think about God’s faithfulness and maintain the posture. The situation is not that terrible. There is always something to thank God for.
- Watch who you listen to. Protect your ears gate, eyes gate and heart gate – Pro 4:23
- Maintain a posture of thanksgiving – the challenge is for a season – Psalm 30: 5
- Arm yourself with scriptural promises about the challenge and praise Him. What is God saying about the challenge? Search the scripture because for every challenge, there is a solution in the scripture.
- Don’t waste the Season – Do not spend all the time being angry, inquire from God what you should do about the challenge, James 1.3-4. God expects you to be refined during that season and come out as gold!
