Text: Ezek 47:3, Matt 25:9-12

Every Christian has room to increase in his power level. Let that be established in your heart and be desperate for more power. I do not mean physical power but spiritual power. In the school of power, there are levels. Many are in kindergarten level, while others are in primary, yet others are in secondary, while others are in the graduate level or PhD level. When you are in power, demons are aware and they steer clear from you. Can a fly pitch on hot oil? It will get roasted!

Power is not free. You have to work for it. Nothing of value is free. However, you cannot buy power with money. Even salvation is not free. Luke 4:14. Power is one of the greatest assets in this kingdom. You cannot do without power else you will be a toy in the hand of the enemy. For us to be effective in the work of the ministry, we need power.  Ps 66:3 – through the greatness of your power shall your enemies submit to you. Enemies never submit to tears or the eloquence of your word, they submit to power. We need power. It is not a discussion. If your strength fails in the day of adversity, your strength is small. Ps 63: 1-3

To see power, you must be desperate for power. Only a thirst from the soul and longing from the flesh (fasting) can guarantee our power. Desire to grow in power daily. Make a clear decision to acquire power that you do not want to fast in vain this year. You must be desperate for a change. Hannah was desperate before her change came. We have the same Holy Ghost but we have to be serious. We are in the fasting days of the church Mark 2:19-20. God’s agenda for the end-time church requires fasting and prayers for end-time delivery. We must desire to build up power. Ps 110: 1-3. When we have the needed power, the enemies are made irrelevant – Ps 23:5, Mark 10: 46-52 – Blind Bartemaus screamed the more and got his healing. I pray that this season of fasting will produce empowerment in our lives in Jesus name. We can never access power without desperation for power – Isa 44:3. Being casual is a risk. Be desperate and business-minded and do not be casual about it. When you have power, blessings will flow naturally on its own. We should strive to grow in the school of power. Our determination for power will tell how much power we have access to.

Time is dynamic and we must understand times and seasons. Isa 41:17-19, Pastor Adeboye prayed a prayer of desperation years ago that if God would not give him power, then He should take him home. Till today we can see the effect of the desperate prayer. Power is not for the Pastor alone. When you are empowered, it becomes a benefit not just for you but your family and people around you. When you say a thing, it comes to pass. You operate in a new dimension when you are empowered. To see signs and wonders, you must build power. Isa 44:3, Lu 5:26, Mark 2:12, 2 Corinth 11:27, 6:5. Apostle Paul was a man given to fasting and prayers. No wonder handkerchief and Aprons that were taken from Paul’s body were healing and delivering all manner of miracles. Power answers to prayer and growing in power answers to fasting.

Make the most of this season and you will be glad you did. Make up your mind to be empowered to the next level this year. God does not look at faces. If you will do His will, you are a candidate for His reward.

If you have not given your life to Jesus, you cannot get this power we are talking about. If you are in that category, ask God to have mercy on you and wash you clean from all sin.
