Text; Psalm 119:89, Luke 1:38
In Luke 1:38 Mary said be it unto me according to thy word. Mary was talking about the spoken word. Spoken word is different from what we think in our mind. Our confession ultimately leads to our possession. The book of the law must not depart out of your mouth – Josh 1:8. We are to meditate on it. Meditation is to gently regurgitate by speaking the word continuously. There is a mystery of the spoken word that many do not understand. Little wonder there is bankruptcy in the house of God these days – John 6:33. There are things we do not understand when we consistently engage in speaking the word. As a man speaks the word, he might not see the effect immediately but there is a change in the spirit. You see what you speak. Ps 81:10-14
Open your mouth and speak. Today we are in a generation of Christians that speak but not the word. We can speak about politics, the economic situation of the nation and gossip but not speak of the word. That is why people do not see signs and wonders.
If it is not in your mouth, it can not be in your life. Luke 8:5-15, you must understand the word for it to be profitable to you. The word is the seed but it goes beyond that. You must do something with the seed. If a seed is not planted, it cannot germinate. The same seed, some fell on good ground, some fell on stony grounds and others on thorny grounds. It is not about the word but the way and manner it was received.
The word that is dormant will have no effect on your life. Your speaking the word is planting the word of God and watering it. Your speaking the word is planting the seed. If your lips are not moving, your faith is not working. Your faith comes alive as you are saying it consistently. To observe to do is to make to do. Your words control your body. Many go with a false confession that it is not working and it won’t work. The woman with the issue of blood confessed her healing before her healing. She said if she could touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, she would be made whole. Her faith came alive, she touched and she was healed.
God bless you!
